- The new year will see a return to work on the new album by Tony Lowe and Alison Fleming.
"It has been hard to find the time this year as we have been concentrating on promotion. Alison is going into her studio in January to work on some ideas and I am writing lyrics and melodies here in London. It is going to be a very different album from all the others and we're not even sure ourselves which direction it will take. Watch this space! Tony"

Dave and his mate, Tony Lowe, have done quite a bit of work for
Audience since we reformed, including locating and recovering some old
tapes and compiling and maintaining our discography so it only fair we give Tony's own music a plug. I've had a listen
and there's some really nice, varied stuff there, including some lovely
guitar work.
It's a three cd set - in Dave's words, "10 years in the making and
Tony's concept album based on the "a place where a world of music,
colour and scent combine, surrounding and engaging you in a glorious tri-sensory
experience". Dave goes on to say "He interacts sound, colour and
aromatherapy." Each CD is only 11 pounds which includes p&p.

The three albums are complete and I feel a great sense of satisfaction that I can finally let go of them. It has been like a birthing process in a way. 'All of the above' was one of the hardest records I have ever made. Spanning ten years, this mammoth undertaking took over my life. I am totally happy with the final product and hope that you will enjoy it in all its diversity. Chris Taesali has done an incredible design for the cover. Totally original and heartfelt. Thanks Chris.

'Shadowbird' was also a little long in coming to fruition. I produced a version last year but had to go back and re write about 70% of it. It happens that way sometimes. Can't see the wood for the trees. Again I am happy with it now and hope to give a good percentage to charity.

'Just a feeling' started out as my attempt at a jazz album but like all the others has grown into something else. Another purely instrumental album, it is very relaxing and I thoroughly enjoyed improvising over themes. There are some very upbeat tracks and some very slow and moody cuts that took me into an area unknown to me before in my own writing.
-
So now I am embarking on a new guitar based album which will again be a collaboration with the incredibly talented Alison Fleming. As yet there is nothing substantial to write about but I am looking forward to singing again, though Alison will be the main voice.
The way we work together is strange but seems to work. Alison lives in the USA and I send her initial rough ideas. She adds her own vocal and lyric ideas and we take it on from there. We have always seemed to work long distance on projects and somehow the outcome is magical and original. Maybe thrashing ideas out in the same room has its drawbacks. It can work but there is something about the way we do it that makes it fresh.
